Painted Desert Golf Club (페인티드 데저트 골프 클럽)

시내에서 95 번 고속도로 북쪽길을 따라 20분정도 ( 20 마일 정도 ) 가면 길 옆에 골프장이 있다. 라스베가스에서 처음으로 사막 스타일의 골프 코스를 도입한 골프장이다. 1982년에 개장한 이 골프장의 코스는 총 6,840야드, 18홀, 파72 로 되어 있다. 특히 호수 주위를 녹색 그린/페어웨이와 곳곳에 있는 선인장과 93개의 벙커들이 감싸는 형태를 갖추고 있다. 특히 해질 무렵이면 그린의 풀과 산 너머로 보이는 석양의 일몰이 아름다운 풍경을 만들어 낸다. 클럽에서 운영하는 클럽 하우스와 프로 샵, 연습실은 PGA 전문가들이 고용한 직원들로 운영되고 있다.

이용료는 여름에는 $70 정도하지만 다른 계절에는 $100 ~ $150 정도 한다.

You know what they say. You always remember your first. Well, Painted Desert is a memorable golf journey, and the course was the first true desert golf experience to come to the Las Vegas area. Painted Desert's contrasts of lush green fairways, greens and roughs, and the desert areas create desert beauty not found in many places. Hedges and other native vegetation (cactus and mesquite) decorate the course as well. Several lakes come into play on drives and approach shots, and many bunkers dot the layout. Painted Desert is also home to a full-service clubhouse and pro shop and a practice facility staffed by PGA professionals. Corporate outings and tournaments are welcome. The property also offers several membership options.
