Nonetheless, it sparkles on the massive stage of the Rio's Samba Theatre, making you wonder what could have been if "Showgirls" had stepped up just a bit beyond its budget and slight hour's length to be a legitimate competitor to "Jubilee!" or "Folies Bergere."
